The reality
An empty house is still a working house.
Six months of the year, the residence runs without you in it. Cameras record. Climate holds. Leak sensors watch. Staff come and go, contractors need access, deliveries arrive, and the housekeeper’s tablet needs to reach the front gate.
All of it rides on one network. And when that network fails in August, there is no one standing in the mechanical room to power-cycle a switch.
